For me, Forgotten Secret became one of the most emotional and suspenseful entries in the Mirror Estate thriller series. While the story still contains the conspiracies, danger, and layered mysteries readers expect from the series, this book also pushed deeper into character relationships, hidden truths, and the emotional cost of uncovering the past.
The premise itself immediately grabbed me.
A body is discovered. A young woman may hold the key to the truth. And powerful people will do anything to silence her before secrets buried long ago come to light.
That combination of psychological suspense, mystery thriller tension, and personal stakes shaped the entire novel.
One thing I enjoy most about writing the Mirror Estate series is that each book has its own identity. Some stories lean more heavily into conspiracy thrillers. Others focus on emotional suspense, family secrets, or dangerous investigations. At the same time, there is still a larger arc running through the series, especially now as the Ghost storyline moves toward a major turning point.
Readers often ask whether the books must be read in order.
Technically, no.
I intentionally include recaps, character guides, and estate maps so newer readers can jump in anywhere. But many readers still prefer experiencing the books in sequence because the fictional world and relationships continue evolving across the series.
And honestly, I love hearing that.
These characters have become very real to me over the years. I visualize scenes almost like a streaming television drama while writing them, seeing the locations, the tension, the conversations, and the emotional reactions unfold in real time.
Now the journey continues with Stolen Secrets releasing June 2, along with the companion novella Shadow Extraction, featuring Olivia.
Some secrets are forgotten.
Others refuse to stay buried.
