Every Mirror Estate novel explores secrets in a different way.
Some focus on conspiracies. Some center on dangerous investigations or emotional betrayals. But Hidden Secrets, Book 5 in the Mirror Estate thriller series, allowed me to lean fully into the mystery and discovery side of the fictional world.
Hidden tunnels. Underground chambers. Forgotten passageways. A mysterious key concealed inside a doll.
From the moment I started outlining the story, I knew this book would explore the deeper history beneath Mirror Estate itself.
One thing I’ve always loved as both a reader and writer is atmosphere. I enjoy mystery thrillers where the setting feels alive and where locations carry emotional weight. In Hidden Secrets, the underground tunnels and hidden rooms became almost like characters of their own. Every corridor concealed another clue, another danger, or another secret waiting to be uncovered.
At the same time, the larger series arc continued expanding.
By Book 5, many of the long-running threads involving the Ghost, the estate’s history, and the hidden connections between characters had become much more layered. Readers began seeing how carefully certain mysteries had been planted earlier in the series.
That was incredibly rewarding for me as a writer.
I also intentionally structure the Mirror Estate books so readers can jump into the series at different points. Every book includes character charts, recaps, and estate maps to help orient readers within the world. But there is definitely an added layer of enjoyment for those who experience the books in order and watch the larger mystery unfold piece by piece.
Now the series is building toward another major turning point with Stolen Secrets, Book 7, arriving June 2 along with the companion novella Shadow Extraction, featuring Olivia.
Because beneath Mirror Estate, some secrets were never meant to be found.
