Even though we’re nowhere near the Christmas season, one book continues surprising me month after month: Christmas Murders.
Originally, I expected this mystery thriller to see most of its activity during the holiday season. That would make sense, right? Christmas setting. Winter atmosphere. Holiday suspense.
But readers keep discovering it throughout the year, especially in paperback and large print editions.
Honestly, I love seeing that.
I think part of the reason is that Christmas Murders is ultimately more than a seasonal mystery. Beneath the holiday backdrop, it’s still a fast-paced suspense novel filled with murder investigations, emotional stakes, layered secrets, and cinematic tension. Readers who enjoy crime thrillers, mystery suspense novels, and page-turning investigations seem to connect with the story regardless of the season.
Another exciting development has been seeing the book reach readers in multiple formats and languages.
Right now, Christmas Murders is available in:
- Audiobook
- Paperback
- Large Print
- Ebook
The audiobook edition is available widely across major audiobook retailers, which has helped introduce the story to entirely new listeners.
The novel is also available internationally in Italian, German, French, and Spanish editions. The Italian translation in particular has become widely available across retailers, while selected German and French editions are also available outside Kindle Unlimited.
As an author, there’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a story travel beyond its original release and reach readers in different countries and formats.
Large print readers especially continue to support this book in ways I never expected, and I truly appreciate that support.
Stories have a funny way of finding the readers who need them, sometimes long after their “season” has passed.
And apparently, murder mysteries set at Christmas can still feel suspenseful in May.
