When I first created the world of Mirror Estate, I knew I wanted the series to feel immersive, suspenseful, and cinematic.
I wanted readers to feel as though they were stepping into a fast-paced crime drama filled with dangerous secrets, layered conspiracies, hidden identities, and emotional twists that continue unfolding across multiple books.
Now, looking at the series so far, I’m honestly amazed at how much the fictional world has grown.
From Buried Secrets to Stolen Secrets, every novel explores a different corner of the Mirror Estate universe while still connecting to a larger ongoing storyline involving the Ghost, hidden agendas, family legacies, FBI investigations, and dangerous truths buried deep beneath the surface.
One of the defining characteristics of the series is its storytelling style.
I love writing short chapters because I enjoy momentum as a reader myself. I want each chapter to pull readers forward, reveal something unexpected, or end with a reason to keep turning pages late into the night.
The books also feature multiple points of view, which allows readers to experience the mysteries and conspiracies from different emotional and investigative angles. Sometimes that means following FBI operatives. Other times it means local detectives, civilians, journalists, or people carrying secrets of their own.
A major source of inspiration for me comes from crime shows and serialized television dramas. I’ve always enjoyed stories where separate investigations slowly connect into something larger and more dangerous. That influence naturally shaped the Mirror Estate thriller series.
In fact, I often visualize scenes while writing almost like I’m watching a television episode unfold in real time. I can see the lighting, the settings, the emotional reactions, and the pacing as the scenes play out in my mind.
I hope readers feel that cinematic energy while reading.
And now, with Stolen Secrets releasing June 2 alongside the companion novella Shadow Extraction, the Mirror Estate series is entering its most explosive chapter yet.
