You can almost imagine someone watching from one of those windows, waiting for the wrong person to ask the right question.

One thing I wanted to emphasize with this image is atmosphere. I love thrillers that feel cinematic. Stories where the setting becomes part of the tension. A storm outside. A silent hallway. Reflections on wet pavement. The sense that something is just slightly off.
Those details matter to me as a writer because they create mood before a single line of dialogue is spoken.
